III. - HOURS OF WORK.

Normal working hours for city employees are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, exclusive of holidays. Employees normally have one hour for lunch, which is non-compensated. Working hours for some departments may vary depending upon the type of service provided. Upon approval by the city council, the department heads (fire, police, public works, parks and recreation, and cemetery) may establish work schedules to fit the needs of these departments.
