§ XIV. Personnel And Payroll Records

  • A personnel and payroll record file will be maintained for each person employed by the city. Such file shall contain personal data on the employee as well as copies of any personnel action on the employee. All such files are open to review by the employee at any time. [Public Law 93-579, Sec. 3, Title 5, Sec. 552 a, b U.S. Code (Privacy Act)]. The employee personnel record file will be maintained in the office of the city clerk and payroll records will be maintained in the office of the city accountant. Any personnel record changes are to be reported to the city clerk unless they pertain to payroll.
