§ 11-6. Same—Investigation and reports.

  • The police chief is hereby fully authorized immediately to investigate every such complaint thus filed. If the police chief determines that the respondent has not engaged in an unlawful practice, such officer shall state such findings of fact in writing. If the police chief determines after such investigation that probable cause exists for the allegation made in the complaint, the police chief will notify the proper city official, the president of the commission, for further legal or conciliatory action.
