§ 2-21. Establishment of districts.

The City of Tuscumbia is hereby divided into five (5) single member council districts to be designated District No. 1, District No. 2, District No. 3, District No. 4 and District No. 5. The districts are the areas within the City of Tuscumbia which are enclosed by the following described lines which if described as being a street, roadway, railroad or alley, shall be the centerline or center of such street, roadway, railroad or alley:

District No. 1. Begin at the intersection of Cave Street and Avalon Avenue; thence run East along Avalon Avenue to its intersection with George Wallace Boulevard; thence run south along the present east city limit line to Sixth Street; thence run west to East Commons; thence run south on east Commons to Seventh Street; thence run west to the intersection of Seventh Street and Cave Street; thence run north to the intersection of Cave Street and Avalon Avenue and the point of beginning.

District No. 2. Begin at the intersection of Cave Street and Seventh Street and run south to the intersection of Eighth Street and Cave Street; thence run west on Eighth Street to its intersection with Woodmont Drive; thence run southeasterly along Woodmont Drive to its intersection with U.S. Highway 72; thence run east along U.S. Highway 72 to its intersection with "E" Avenue; thence run North along "E" Avenue to its intersection with Joe Wheeler Drive; thence run southeasterly along Joe Wheeler Drive to its intersection with Brown Avenue; thence run northeasterly along Brown Avenue to its intersection with Crest Avenue; thence run north along Crest Avenue to a point even with South Commons extended; thence southeasterly and parallel with Decatur Street to a point on the present city limits; thence north along the present east city limits line to its intersection with Sixth Street; thence west along Sixth Street to its intersection with East Commons; thence south along East Commons to its intersection with Seventh Street; thence west along Seventh Street to its intersection with Cave Street and the point of beginning.

District No. 3. Begin at the intersection of Cave Street and Avalon Avenue and run west along Avalon Avenue to its intersection with Milton Street; thence run south along Milton Street to its intersection with Greenway Avenue; thence run west along Greenway Avenue to its intersection with Stewart Street; thence run south on Stewart Street to its intersection with North Commons West; thence west along North Commons West to its intersection with Hooks Street; thence run south on Hooks Street to its intersection with existing railroad tracts, thence southeasterly along the railroad tracks to Jefferson Street; thence south along Jefferson Street to its intersection with Fifth Street; thence west along Fifth Street for a distance of three (3) blocks; thence south one (1) block to Sixth Street; thence east along Sixth Street to its intersection with Water Street; thence south along Water Street to its intersection with Seventh Street; thence east on Seventh Street to its intersection with Cave Street; thence north along Cave Street to its intersection with Avalon Avenue and the point of beginning.

District No. 4. All that portion of the City of Tuscumbia lying west of the following described line: Commence at the intersection of Old Memphis Highway and Francis Street and run northeast on Francis Street to its intersection with Evelyn Street; thence northeast along Evelyn Street to its intersection with Madison Street; thence northeast along Madison Street to its intersection with Old Lee Highway; thence northeast along Old Lee Highway to its intersection at Spring Creek; thence north on Hook Street to its intersection with Sixth Street; thence west along Sixth Street for a distance of one (1) block; thence north for a distance of one (1) block to Fifth Street; thence east along Fifth Street with its intersection with Jefferson Street; thence north along Jefferson Street to its intersection with existing railroad tracks; thence northwesterly along the railroad tracks to Hook Street thence north along Hook Street to its intersection with North Commons West; thence run east along North Commons West to its intersection with Stewart Street; thence north along Stewart Street to its intersection with Greenway Avenue; thence east along Greenway Avenue to its intersection with Milton Street; thence north along Milton Street to its intersection with Avalon Avenue. The north, west and south boundary lines of District Four are the present city limit lines.

All that portion of the City of Tuscumbia lying south of the following described line: Commence at the intersection of Old Memphis Highway and Francis Street and run northeast on Francis Street to its intersection with Evelyn Street; thence northeast along Evelyn Street to its intersection with Madison Street; thence northeast along Madison Street to its intersection with Old Lee highway; thence northeast along Old Lee Highway until it turns into Hooks Street and north on Hooks Street to its intersection with Sixth Street; thence east along Sixth Street to its intersection with Water Street; thence south along Water Street to its intersection with Seventh Street; thence east along Seventh Street to its intersection with Cave Street. Also, all that portion of the City of Tuscumbia lying south of the above described line and west of the following described line: Commence at the intersection of Seventh Street and Cave Street and run south along Cave Street to its intersection with Eighth Street; thence run west on Eighth Street to its intersection with Woodmont Drive; thence run southeasterly along Woodmont Drive to its intersection with U.S. Highway 72. Also, all that portion of the City of Tuscumbia lying south of the following described line: Commence at the intersection of Woodmont Drive with U.S. Highway 72 and run east along U.S. Highway 72 at its intersection with "E" Avenue; thence run north along "E" Avenue to its intersection with Joe Wheeler Drive; thence run southeasterly along Joe Wheeler Drive to its intersection with Brown Avenue; thence run northeasterly along Brown Avenue to its intersection with Crest Avenue; thence run north along Crest Avenue to a point even with South Commons extended; thence southeasterly and parallel with Decatur Street to a point on the present city limits.
