§ 2-24. Election of mayor; qualifications and term of mayor.

  • At the municipal election to be held in 1988, and each four (4) years thereafter, the qualified electors of the City of Tuscumbia at large who are entitled to participate in such elections shall elect a mayor who must be a bona fide elector of and who must actually reside in the city limits of the City of Tuscumbia, Alabama. The mayor shall hold such office for a period of four (4) years, commencing on October 1, 1988, and until such successor shall be duly elected and qualified, or until the mayor shall resign, die, move his or her residence outside of the city limits of Tuscumbia or otherwise be removed from office.
