§ 2-31. Continuation of corporate existence, etc., of municipality; continuation and force of laws, by-laws, ordinances, resolutions.

The City of Tuscumbia shall continue its organization as a body corporate. It shall continue to be subject to all the duties and obligations now pertaining to or incumbent upon it as a municipal corporation and shall continue to enjoy all rights, immunities, powers and franchise now enjoyed by it, as well as those that may hereafter be granted to it.

All laws governing the City of Tuscumbia and not inconsistent with provisions of this article shall apply to and govern the city after it shall reorganize under the provisions of this article. All by laws, ordinances and resolutions lawfully passed and enforced in the City of Tuscumbia under its present organization shall remain in force until altered or repealed as authorized by law.
