§ 4-120. Miscellaneous permanent signs.

  • (a)

    All zoning districts. The following signs are allowed in all zoning districts:

    (1)

    Address signs. In addition to all other signs allowed, each premises with a separate address may display one (1) sign displaying that address but containing no commercial message, subject to the following standards: the address sign shall not exceed two (2) square feet in area and, if freestanding, shall not exceed four (4) feet in height; the address sign shall not be separately illuminated.

    (2)

    Incidental signs. Additional signs, permanent or temporary, of not more than two (2) square feet in area are allowed, provided that such signs contain no commercial message and are not separately illuminated. If such signs are freestanding, they shall be no more than four (4) feet in height.

    (b)

    Certain zoning districts. Any site which includes required off-street parking, other than driveway parking at a single-family residence, may have signs conforming with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices and containing no commercial message in required off-street parking areas.
