§ 5-24. Peddlers, etc., entering private premises without invitation.

  • Entering into or upon private property or premises in the city by solicitors, peddlers, hawkers, itinerant merchants or transient vendors of merchandise for the purpose of soliciting, peddling, hawking or vending, without having first been requested or invited so to do by the owner or occupant of said private premises or property is declared to be a nuisance and unlawful, except, however, this section shall not apply to civic, recreational, charitable, religious or patriotic organizations located within the city or its police jurisdiction.
